What Is Floorball?

Floorball is a fast-paced, exciting, safe
and low-cost type of indoor hockey
played with specialized light-weight fibre
glass or carbon fibre sticks and
rules that promote safety and skill.

5270938Floorball Nova Scotia (FNS) is the provincial governing body for the Sport of Floorball in Nova Scotia and the provider for league establishment and game play in the province.  Floorball Nova Scotia is currently made up of the following FIVE Provincial Leagues:

  • Halifax Floorball League (HFL) (active)
  • Cape Breton Floorball League (CBFL)
  • Central Floorball League (CFL)
  • Western Floorball League (WFL)
  • South Shore Foorball League (SSFL)

FNS’ mandate is to provide Nova Scotia citizens with the support and resources to build a floorball nation. FNS directly oversees recreational and league play in Nova Scotia and is working year-round to bring floorball into communities, schools, clubs and organizations across the province. Floorball can be played practically anywhere and is ideal for schools kids, teens, community residents, hockey teams for off-ice training and clubs/ organizations looking to offer members recreational activities. It can be played on a recreational, competetive, elite or co-ed level for age groups ranging from 5 years to 50+ years.
